Dixon School Hosts Inspiring Martin Luther King Jr. Program

On January 16th, Dixon School celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a heartfelt program that brought students, staff, and families together. The event, held in the school auditorium, was a vibrant showcase of student talent and community spirit.

The program, hosted by 3rd grader A'Nyla Price, featured stirring speeches and uplifting songs performed by students. Each performance highlighted the themes of equality, perseverance, and hope that Dr. King championed.

Adding to the celebration, the Dixon Glee Club, under the direction of music teacher Ms. Butler, delivered soulful renditions of songs that had the audience clapping and singing along. Parents and family members filled the room, proud and supportive as they witnessed the students’ moving tributes.

Dr. Felder and Mrs. Woodberry, the program’s organizers, worked tirelessly to bring the event to life. Their dedication ensured the program not only honored Dr. King’s legacy but also inspired the entire school community to reflect on his enduring message of unity and justice.

The event was a meaningful reminder of the power of coming together to celebrate the principles of equality and kindness, leaving everyone in attendance with a renewed sense of hope and determination.
