2nd Annual Holiday Concert
On December 16th, parents gathered in the gymnasium to enjoy Clippert’s 2nd Annual Recorder and Strings Holiday Concert! Music instructor Mrs.MacDonald lead student groups in performances of classic and modern holiday favorites. Sixth grade homerooms 504 and 505 performed songs such as “Frosty the Snowman” and “Burrito Sabanero” on recorder. The 7th grade rhythm ensemble put on a spirited rendition of “Jingle Bell Rock” as part of their presentation. The eighth grade homerooms performed on recorders or strings and their sets were highlighted by soloist Kevin Padilla-Martinez and a duet by Emily Corona and Jade Ortega. The 8th grade honors class, now in their second year in the program, performed an especially unique arrangement of the poem “Twas the Night Before Christmas” read by Faith Brown and accompanied by musical interludes. As a special school treat, the music classes performed their program for the rest of the students and staff on Thursday morning. Amazing job to our talented performers and our brilliant music instructor Mrs.MacDonald!
