Check Out Five Things You Need to Know This Week!
Attention Virtual School Parents, Families and Students: This Tuesday, September 21, 2021, there will be another online Virtual School Parent Support Session for you staring at 5:30 p.m. With the application window to the new Virtual School closed for this semester, this session is your opportunity to get information and share your ideas about the Virtual School with the new school year underway. For more on Tuesday’s session, Virtual School families can send an email to virtual.school@detroitk12.org, or call the General Virtual School Hotline 313.644.0200
Attendance Tips This Week: Parents, every school day counts, and you can help guide your student’s attendance, whether they are going to school in person or online. This week’s tips include:
- For in person students, urge them to pack their backpacks night before the next school day. This will cut down on rushing out the door and forgetting something they needed.
- For both in person and online students, consider having your student take their shower or bath the night prior to their next school day. This will save time in the morning and help with an on-time arrival for school!
