Detroit Police Anti- Bullying Presentation
Detroit Police present an anti-bully presentation
On Friday, March 11, 2022, Burns Elementary Middle School students had a chance to listen to Detroit police Officer Franklin from the 2nd precinct. Officer Franklin frequently comes to Burns to speak with staff and students, but on this day he was there to speak to the entire middle school student body concerning bullying, cyberbullying, and school threats. The students were able to hear new changes put in place from Wayne County prosecutor Kym Worthy and how they are able to report issues happening at their school. This presentation happens every year in light of recent school events, this presentation hit a little closer to home.
