Breithaupt Brings Home the Gold!

Congratulations to our twenty SkillsUSA students that competed at the State Conference!

On Friday, April 15, Breithaupt sent twenty of our brightest and best students to Grand Rapids for the SkillsUSA State Conference competition. Skills USA is a national organization that "empowers its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens."

Breithaupt students competed in the areas of Culinary Arts, Cosmetology, Customer Service, Public speaking, and Welding, putting the career technical education they're learning in our building to the test against other youth from across the state. All of our students had exceptional performances and we could not be more proud of them.

Eight students earned medals—

Welding students Donzell Jones, Chanz Richardson, and Cameron Thomas won Gold

Culinary Arts students Tiffany Baker, Samya Gains, and Shawnia Patrick won Gold

Our gold medal winners will be representing Breithaupt and DPSCD at the National Skills USA competition in Atlanta, GA this June. Join us in congratulating all of our students and cheering on those who will continue to showcase their skills later this spring.
