School Spotlight of the Week Spain Elementary Middle School: Spain's students are rising, and this is reflected in their remarkable MSTEP (Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress) results. Among the outstanding schools recognized for their achievement, Spain stands tall as one of the two K-8 schools to gain an impressive 10 percentage points increase and moved up a full school grade.

ESE Parent Advisory Committee (PAC): DPSCD's Parent Advisory Committee's (PAC) mission is to empower parents, guardians, and grandparents of students with an active Individualized Education Program (IEP) with knowledge as it relates to their participation in the special education process, delivery of services, and funding for schools. In addition, members will work with key stakeholders to make decisions and recommendations regarding compliance, parent and community involvement, and ongoing issues related to special education. Free Parent Academy Session- Digital Communication: Join this FREE parent academy session on Digital Communication and understand how online actions affect others. This virtual session will take place Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 4 p.m. During the course families will receive information, resources, and activities to use and implement digital communication as a family.
