Black History Hall of Fame

The Black Hall of Fame Theater visited our school today and the students learned many facts about the significance of Black Americans in history. The Hall of Famers that the students learned about were:

Harriet Tubman-she helped more than 300 slaves escape to the North of Freedom

George Washington Carver-Founded 300 plus uses for the peanut

Madame CJ Walker-America's first female self-made millionaire

Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.-Civil Rights Leader and Baptist minister. He changed America using peaceful methods.

These were just a few Black History Hall of Famers the students heard about.
