Its Staff Appreciation Week At Thirkell Elementary Middle School

Thirkell Elementary Middle School recently wrapped up a week-long celebration dedicated to honoring our hardworking and dedicated staff members. From May 6th to May 10th, the school buzzed with excitement as students and faculty alike participated in Staff Appreciation Spirit Week, showcasing their gratitude in creative and spirited ways.

The festivities kicked off on Monday, May 6th, with Detroit Day, where students and staff proudly represented their Motor City roots with attire and activities inspired by the vibrant culture of Detroit. Tuesday, May 7th, was designated as College Day, providing an opportunity for everyone to display their collegiate pride by donning clothing representing their favorite universities and envisioning bright futures ahead.

Midweek brought a nostalgic throwback on Wednesday, May 8th, with 90s - 2000s Day. From retro fashion to iconic music, the school was filled with nods to the beloved trends of yesteryears, fostering a sense of camaraderie and fun among students and staff. Thursday, May 9th, was dedicated to honoring Thirkell Legends, where the rich history and cherished memories of the school were celebrated through various activities and tributes.

Wrapping up the week on Friday, May 10th, was Superhero Day, a fitting finale to recognize the everyday heroes within the school community. With capes, masks, and superhero-themed festivities, students and staff came together to honor the remarkable contributions of those who inspire and uplift us all.

Staff Appreciation Spirit Week at Thirkell Elementary Middle School was a resounding success, showcasing the deep appreciation and gratitude we hold for our incredible staff members who work tirelessly to make our school a place of learning, growth, and community.
