Mr. Byron Brooks has worked in the field of education for over 20 years. His work has included the following positions: Educational Technician, Long Term Substitute, and Contract Teacher. He graduated with an Associate Degree from Wayne County Community College and a Bachelors Degree from Wayne State University. He enjoys working with kids, helping them achieve their highest potential so they can be successful in the future. In addition, he loves working with fellow educators, coming up with solutions to situations that will allow students to succeed.

Dalephine Collins is a veteran teacher.  First and foremost, she is extremely dedicated about her career as an educator.  This is not just a "job", it is truly a passion.  Her career began over 30 years ago and she has taught grade levels Pre-K through high school.   She has worked for Detroit Public Schools Community District since 1999.  Dalephine Collins holds a Michigan certification in elementary education, vast experience and coursework in Learning Disabilities.

As an, educator, her belief is  learning is a process and success can be achieved by "ALL" students.  It is imperative that all stakeholders...Parent-Teacher-Student must work together as a Team, in order to attain the best educational experience.  Ms. Collins enjoys interior decorating and music.  She is an individual who lives with passion, loyalty, and good vibes.

Ms Harris brings fifteen years of previous experience in early childhood education, a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a passion for teaching. Visual Arts Teacher

Nicole Key recently left corporate America to follow her passion of Art and Education. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a concentration in Graphic Design from Hampton University. She also has a Master of Business Administration degree with emphasis in Marketing from American Intercontinental University in Atlanta, GA. Originally from Detroit, she attended Mercy High School and moved out of state immediately after graduation.  She relocated from Atlanta to Detroit in 2013. Currently, she is the Art teacher for K-6 at Schulze Academy. She wholeheartedly believes that every child deserves and should receive Art along with their core studies. Exposure to the Arts promotes the whole child commitment. Art in the classroom is a vital part of the curriculum offered in Detroit Public Schools Community District. Art allows students to be imaginative and express themselves while also learning the fundamentals of Art, Art History and the Business of Art. One does not always have to be the greatest artist to benefit from it. Art allows students to build self- esteem and make a personal statement about their uniqueness, happiness, and pride. Most importantly it allows them to be CREATIVE.

Mrs. Morgan attended the University of Detroit, where she received a Bachelors degree in Learning Disability and a Master's of Arts in Curriculum Design.  Mrs. Morgan continued her education and earned a second Master's degree in Educational Technology from Marygove College.  She has taught both upper and lower Learning Disability classes for thirteen years, Early Childhood Developmental Delayed (ECDD) for five years and most recently has taught as a Resource Room teacher for the past 6 years.  When she is not at work Mrs. Morgan loves to golf, cook and travel.

Beth Morof has been teaching in Detroit Public Schools Community District for over 25 years.  She teaches Deaf and Hard of Hearing pre-school students.  Mrs. Morof graduated from Michigan State University with a major in special education.  She has an additional endorsement on her teaching certificate to teach preschool.  The endorsement focuses on teaching children from birth through age eight.  Mrs. Morof received her masters in early childhood education from Oakland University.

Mrs. Sucaet has been an Elementary Grades teacher for many years.   She received her bachelors in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University, and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Marygrove College.  She taught 2nd grade for many years before she was hired by Detroit Public Schools Community District.  Mrs. Sucaet has been a Primary Grades Science teacher for 18 of her 21 years with Detroit Public Schools Community District.  She is married, with two “bonus” boys, Cody (26), Cam (23) and an 18 month old Golden Retriever named Hogan.
