Ms. LaShawn McBride

My name is LaShawn McBride. I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I have been teaching, specifically, Middle school mathematics for 19 years. I have been an instructional math coach, a Math interventionist, Headed a new staff mentor program, a Cheerleading coach, and currently a Teacher Leader for Middle school math with Detroit Public School Community District. My joy and passion stem from teaching and reaching in urban communities. I believe everyone can learn but they must be met intentionally, where they are, as a starting point. Growth has no beginning or end. In conclusion, I am convinced that “Learning never Ends”.
