Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Jared Davis
Jared J. Davis has been an educator since 1992. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern University and A & M College in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He majored in Secondary Education but traveled there after High School accepting a partial Music Scholarship and was a proud member of the world-famed Human Jukebox Marching Band. He also holds a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from Wayne State University.
Principal Davis’ professional career began as a Drafting and Architecture Teacher. He taught for six years at Henry Ford High School. While there he helped lead several student organizations under the tutelage of his seasoned peers. In his second year, he was nudged to ascertain his Administrative credentials. He listened and shortly after receiving his Masters degree, was tapped for a Department head position at Golightly Career and Technical Center. Shortly after, he moved on to become an Assistant Principal at Golightly Educational Center and then at Cass Technical High School. There, is where he accredits the invaluable experiences that led to him becoming a Principal.
He has led schools here in the DPSCD, Highland Park, the now defunct EAA and in a charter school network. He also worked for several years as an Educational Consultant grooming Teachers and supporting schools in Louisiana, New York State, and here in Michigan. He has dedicated his professional career to teaching, learning, mentoring, and supporting students across the K-12 ecosystem. However, leading the team here at Randolph Career Technical Center has been nothing less than a dream come true. Davis says, “Being able to hopefully end my career where I started, working in CTE as a major catalyst fueling the ever-demanding skilled trades industry is nothing less than a blessing from God!”
Jared is married to his wife Tamara. Together they have two adult children and one teenager, Ja’nel, Desmond, and Davin who is a tenth grader at Detroit School of the Arts. He enjoys Fitness, Golf, Travel, Family and Friends.
