Chess Club
Chess Club
"Check Mate!" We love hearing those words in Chess Club! This club provides an after-school opportunity for students to engage in playing the challenging game of chess. It is currently open to all.
The Chess Club meets each Tuesday & Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00. Students who want to join the club have to fill out a Parent Permission Slip (see link below) & return it to their teacher. We love to show our chess club spirit by wearing chess club t-shirts each Tuesday and Thursday. More information will be coming home to our chess club members, so be on the lookout.
We could use extra hands during Chess Club; so, if you or another adult you know plays chess and have some free time on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons, please contact us at sonji.harlen@detroitk12.org
