Anime Club
Anime club is an organization that meets to discuss, show, and promote anime in a local community setting and can also focus on broadening Japanese cultural understanding.
Students will watch anime, work on manga and art, and have a great time.

World Language
Students will explore the languages and cultures of the world, such as French, Spanish, Hebrew, Chinese, Korean, and any others they want to discover. We plan to eat, watch movies, play games, and have field trips.

Students will learn how to knit and crochet as a hobby and learn how to sell their items.

Pride Club
LGBTQ and Allies is a club for anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+, but also for their straight friends and supporters, the allies. We will be raising awareness in school of the issues that young people face, such as discrimination and higher rates of suicide. The Pride Club will offer a safe space where young people can be themselves and feel supported.
Field trip: Annual DPSCD Pride Celebration. Date: TBA.

FIRST Robotics Team
Robotics teams give students the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, learn to cooperate with others, improve social interaction skills, better regulate emotions, and learn the highs and lows of competing.

Chess Club
Henry Ford Chess Club teaches students the strategies and tactics of chess and how to apply them in chess matches. Students play each other in chess matches and a ranking system evolves.

Food Club
The Detroit Food Academy has partnered with Henry Ford High School afterschool club this year to provide the students with high quality Culinary instruction and education.Here's what is offered:

25-30 weeks of after school culinary and leadership programming

Once a week, 15-20 students, normally runs 2-3 hours
-
2 Classroom Facilitators and occasional guest Chefs from local restaurants
-
They bring in their own supplies and ingredients, which means no financial commitment from Henry Ford High School.

Local Field trips- once or twice a year, including transportation to and from school

Capstone Meal share project- student-led dinner appreciation night

Student ingredients kits and recipes sent home throughout the year
