                • Blushing Rose Club

                  Students will learn makeup Application. Discuss inner and outer beauty.

                  Club Sponsor: Mrs. Watts

                  Meeting time/day: Tues/Thurs. 3:30-5:30. Room 127

                • Word is Bond Mentoring

                  Students will engage in lessons of self-esteem and cultural awareness.

                  Club sponsor: Mr. Ferguson-Bey

                  Meeting time/day: Tuesday. 3:30-5:30. room 129

                • Business & Drones Club

                  Students will explore business operations, marketing, finance, etc.  Drone students will learn about drones & how to program them.

                  Club Sponsors: Ms. Mooe (Business) & Mr. Bingham (Drones)

                  Meeting time/day: Wed/Thurs. 4th and 5th period. Room 307

                • Anime Club

                  Anime club is an organization that meets to discuss, show, and promote anime in a local community setting and can also focus on broadening Japanese cultural understanding. 

                  Students will watch anime, work on manga and art, and have a great time.

                • Archery

                  Archery is the sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. If you are interested in this program, please contact Ms. Ball at lakeza.ball@detroitk12.org

                  Meeting time/date: Tuesday. 3:30-4:45. Room 124

                • World Language

                  Students will explore the languages and cultures of the world, such as French, Spanish, Hebrew, Chinese, Korean, and any others they want to discover. We plan to eat, watch movies, play games, and have field trips. 

                  Club Sponsor: Mrs. Tokarz, Ms. Rodriquez, and Mrs. Cohen. 

                  Meeting date/time: Every other Friday during the 7th hour class period. Room 223. 

                • Knitting & Crocheting

                  Students will learn how to knit and crochet as a hobby and learn how to sell their items.

                • Dance Squad

                  Dance team students will learn and perform multiple dance styles for Games, outside events, and competitions.

                • Redefining Beauty Inc.

                  The mission of Redefining Beauty is to empower girls by providing them with programs, resources, and experiences that promote leadership, growth, self-awareness, self-efficacy, and the confidence that will help them on their journey of self-discovery.

                • Dual Enrollment - Lawrence Tech University

                  Dual Enrollment partnership with Lawrence Technological University. Please contact Michael Mokdad, Principal regarding enrollment.

                • Pride Club

                  LGBTQ and Allies is a club for anyone who identifies as LGBTQIA+, but also for their straight friends and supporters, the allies. We will be raising awareness in school of the issues that young people face, such as discrimination and higher rates of suicide. The Pride Club will offer a safe space where young people can be themselves and feel supported.

                  Field trip: Annual DPSCD Pride Celebration. Date: TBA.

                • FIRST Robotics Team

                  Robotics teams give students the opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills, learn to cooperate with others, improve social interaction skills, better regulate emotions, and learn the highs and lows of competing.

                • Chess Club

                  Henry Ford Chess Club teaches students the strategies and tactics of chess and how to apply them in chess matches. Students play each other in chess matches and a ranking system evolves.

                • Student Government Association

                  The Student Government Association (SGA) is a student leadership program. SGA will represent the voice of the students.

                • Male Mentoring Club

                  This club is designed to provide mentorship to the Henry Ford male Trojans. The club will be led by Mr. Njare

                • Food Club

                  The Detroit Food Academy has partnered with Henry Ford High School afterschool club this year to provide the students with high quality Culinary instruction and education. 
                   

                  Here's what is offered: 

                  • 25-30 weeks of after school culinary and leadership programming

                  • Once a week, 15-20 students, normally runs 2-3 hours

                  • 2 Classroom Facilitators and occasional guest Chefs from local restaurants 

                  • They bring in their own supplies and ingredients, which means no financial commitment from Henry Ford High School. 

                  • Local Field trips- once or twice a year, including transportation to and from school 

                  • Capstone Meal share project- student-led dinner appreciation night 

                  • Student ingredients kits and recipes sent home throughout the year

                • Video Gaming Club

                  The club is designed for people who are interested in honing in on their video gaming skills. Also, a place for students to unwind.
