Greetings Duke Ellington Faculty and Staff,Welcome back! I hope each of you had a restful and rejuvenating summer break. As we stand on the threshold of a new academic year, I am filled with excitement and optimism about the opportunities and experiences that lie ahead for us and our students.Our collective efforts last year yielded tremendous results, and I am proud of the progress we made together. As we embark on this new journey, I am confident that we will continue to build on our successes, address new challenges, and create an even more engaging and supportive learning environment.This year, we will focus on several key initiatives to enhance our educational impact:1. Student-Centered Learning: Continuing to innovate in our teaching practices to cater to the diverse needs of our students.2. Professional Development: Offering more opportunities for growth and learning for our staff, ensuring we stay at the forefront of educational excellence.3. Community Engagement: Strengthening our ties with parents, guardians, and the wider community to create a holistic support system for our students.4. Wellness and Well-being: Prioritizing the mental and emotional well-being of our students and staff to foster a positive and productive school environment.As we move forward, I encourage you to bring your passion, creativity, and dedication to everything you do. Each one of you plays a crucial role in shaping the futures of our students, and your commitment to excellence is what makes Duke Ellington a special place.Let’s approach this year with a renewed sense of purpose and a shared vision for success. Our teamwork and collaboration are vital, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a talented and dedicated group of professionals.Please mark your calendars for our meeting on August 19, 2024, starting at 8:30am, where we will take a deeper look into data and discuss our goals for the year. I look forward to seeing all of you and hearing your ideas and insights.Lunch will be provided on Monday.
