Cell Phone Policy

Classrooms: teachers will designate whether they are a green, yellow, or red zone classroom

Green zone: cell phones are permitted for academic use in the classroom

Yellow zone: teachers determine per day if cell phones are permitted for academic use in the classroom

Red zone: cell phone is not permitted for use in the classroom

Cell Phone Violation Consequences:

1^st Offense– Teacher gives student a warning.

2^ndOffense- The cell phone is confiscated by a Behaviorist and given back to the student at the end of the day.

3^rdOffense- The cell phone is confiscated by a Behaviorist and a parent must come pick up the cell phone. A Parent Acknowledgement form is signed.

4^th Offense: The Climate and Culture Team will meet with the parent and student to discuss the student’s next options, including cell phone ban for an extended period.
