Career and Technical Student Organizations

    Students enrolled in Career and Technical programs have the opportunity to join a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO).  These organizations allow students the opportunity to enhance their classroom learning, through competition, leadership and service.

    Business Professionals of America is the premier CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) for students pursuing careers in the various related career fields offered at Golightly CTC. As a co-curricular activity, Business Professionals of America has the ability to enhance student participation in professional, civic, service and social endeavors. Business Professionals of America members participate in these activities and competitions to accomplish their goals of self-improvement, leadership development, professionalism, community service, career development, public relations, student cooperation and safety and health.

We provide educational programs, events and competitions that support Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the nation’s classrooms.  SkillsUSA empowers its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens. SkillsUSA improves the quality of our nation’s future skilled workforce through the development of Framework skills that include personal, workplace and technical skills grounded in academic studies.
