DPSCD Parent Academy Summer Sessions This week: Attend a Parent Academy session this week, you’ll gain important insight on advocating for your gifted child. Become aware of language access resources for multilingual families or catch up with District alumni. For details, please visit www.detroitk12.org/parentacademy. Summer on the Block Thurs. July 15 at Carver Stem Academy 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Reconnect to your neighborhood school with Summer on the Block, find helpful resources, support services and information about your school community at the next festive Summer on the Block gathering this week at Carver STEM Academy, 18701 Paul Street in Detroit. DPSCD School Video Tours. There are more than 100 K-12 schools in Detroit offering programs to fit your child's needs. Each of the DPSCD high schools offer a unique career pathway and when enrolled in a DPSCD school, your child will be eligible for the Detroit Promise Scholarship, a 2- or 4-year scholarship upon graduation from high school. The Annual Back to School Expo is Sat. Aug 28, 2021 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.! Family and student resources will be provided all day at three convenient locations, East English Village Prep. High School, Western International High School and Randolph Career Tech Center. Meet and greet school staff, explore school programs, get your questions answered for the return to school on September 7, 2021. Look for more details on DPSCD social media platforms and in our newsletters. We can’t wait to see you this fall!

DPSCD Technology and Family Resources Hubs This Summer: With Summer Learning Experiences underway, we are committed to providing support for your Connected Future’s device. The Technology and Family Resources Hubs are open July 12, 2021-August 5, 2021 at three locations: Renaissance High School, East English Village Preparatory Academy and Munger Elementary-Middle School. The hours of operation will be from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mon.-Thurs. Please visit http://detroitk12.org/hubs for more information.
