Stop Littering Detroit Beautifies the Dossin Community

In Mrs. Howard's classroom on October 11, 2024, a group of excited middle school students gathered for the last meeting of the Stop Littering Detroit art progrm inspired by Jerjuan Howard from the Howard Family Bookstore and Jonathan Farley from Access Point Towing.  The two Detroiters always loved art and working with children, so they created their service program at Dossin. Over the past several weeks, the young artists in the program used their imagination and paintbrushes to create bright pictures depicting what the world could look like without trash. As they painted, they laughed and shared ideas for fun slogans, all wanting to help make their community a cleaner place!
