Mental Health Resources for Students and Families: Whether through our Are You OK? How can we help initiative, the Mental Health Hotline or with other caring partners, DPSCD has resources to support the social-emotional health and wellness of our students and families. Stay Smart with Summer Learning Experiences 2022: Parents, register now to ensure your student stay smart this summer with DPSCD’s Summer Learning Experiences, from July 11 to August 4, 2022. Programming includes credit recovery, academic acceleration, and an array of fun activities including sports camps, dance and much more. Hurry, seats are limited. Also, families, attend the next virtual information session on Monday, June 6, 2022, starting at 5:30 p.m. Watch to learn more.
DPSCD All Classifications Hiring Fairs on June 7 and June 23: Save the date and share as we are seeking top talent to help our Student’s Rise by building a career with DPSCD! Attend our next All Classifications Hiring Fairs, on June 7 at Mumford High School. and on June 23 at Marquette Elementary-Middle School, both fairs are from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. More information can be found at detroitk12.org/employment.

New Parent Academy Catalog Coming Soon! DPSCD parents and families, the digital version of the new Parent Academy catalog is expected to be out next week. Be sure to check it out for free, fun upcoming workshops! Also, DPSCD families can receive insights into the many ways of supporting gifted, talented, and twice-exceptional children (with a specific learning challenge) during a workshop on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Bates Academy from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Call Parent Academy at (313) 873-7490 for more information.
Summer on the Block 2022: Save the date of Thursday, July 7, 2022, the official kickoff of Summer on the Block 2022 events. The event experience will be held at various school locations each Thursday through August 4. Summer on the Block is a family friendly experience that includes access to resources, food, games, school supplies, as well as enrollment information about DPSCD schools.
