Decision Day 2023

Decision Day 2023

Central High School had its "Decision Day" on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 1:30 pm in the school auditorium. This is the day that the Class of 2023 stated their post-secondary plans after high school graduation. Ms. Watkins, College Transition Advisor, was the MC for the event and Ms. Horton, counselor, assisted with the program. Ms. Stewart, the Senior ELA teacher, played music while the Seniors entered the auditorium. Principal Webb provided some encouraging words to the Seniors, and Ms. Horton spoke on the purpose of Decision Day.

Mr. & Mrs. Marvin Ballinger, Owners/Operators of HobbyTown, Southfield, Michigan, were speakers for Decision Day, and they congratulated the Class of 2023. After the speech, the Seniors revealed their decisions to a 2-year college, 4-year college, trade schools, and the workforce. After the program, light refreshments were provided for the joyous occasion. Many thanks to Ms. Watkins for the amazing event for the trailblazers.
