The Sharing Table

Modeled after the Seward Sharing Table in New Center, the Carver Sharing Table is a project-based learning activity for our students, where students identify an issue affecting their community and work to address that need, both applying what they’ve learned and building their understanding through experience.

It will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-3 pm outside the school, stocked with food, toiletries, baby supplies, books, and other resources available free to the neighboring community. Parents, students, staff, and other community members are welcome to help themselves to items from the Carver Sharing Table and are encouraged to contribute items for others to take from the table. Come check it out this Thursday!

Thanks to the Assistance League of Southeastern Michigan for helping us get started with the Link to Creative Teaching Grant.
