Break Dancing
In their Technology class, 5th grade students had the exciting opportunity to learn to code using the LEGO Spike Kit. As part of the project, students built a Break Dancer robot, a fun and interactive model that they could program to move side to side and spin around. With the guidance of Ms. Butler, they learned to use the Spike App to write simple code, experimenting with different commands to control the robot's movements. The hands-on nature of the project helped students understand basic coding concepts, such as loops and conditional statements, while also sparking their creativity as they watched their Break Dancer come to life with each new adjustment to the code.
