A Buzz of Excitement
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Bates Academy Library transformed into a hive of excitement as students from all grades gathered to compete in the School Spelling Bee. Months of preparation, countless hours of practice, and an unwavering commitment to excellence came to life as these young scholars showcased their spelling talents.
The energy in the room was electric, with classmates, teachers, and families cheering on participants as they faced challenging words with poise and confidence. Each round brought nail-biting suspense, and the determination of every student was nothing short of inspiring.
After an afternoon of fierce competition and impressive displays of vocabulary prowess, the winners emerged victorious, earning the honor of representing Bates Academy at the District Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Detroit Public Library Main Branch.
