A Heartwarming Holiday Celebration at the Cub Campus

Our Cub Campus was all smiles and holiday cheer on Dec. 12, thanks to an incredible celebration brought to us by the Novi Community School District and Bridgepointe, a metro Detroit nonprofit.

The day was packed with music, crafts, games, and laughter. The Novi Singers from Novi High School kicked things off with holiday classics like “Carol of the Bells” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” even adding a playful round of Simon Says to get everyone giggling and warmed up.

Third graders Enzo R. and Liam A. couldn’t get enough of the fun. “I like how they give us activities,” Enzo shared, showing off his carefully crafted snowman bookmark. Liam was all about the music, especially “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”

The celebration didn’t stop there! Students enjoyed a pizza lunch, classroom crafts, and games with help from Novi’s amazing student and parent volunteers. One excited little girl captured the moment perfectly when she squealed, “This is going to be so much fun!” as she started a melted snowman craft.

Ms. Hernandez, a Kindergarten teacher, said it best: “The kids really look forward to the activities and gifts. It’s such a special experience for them.”

Principal Nicholas Brown loved hearing the happy buzz throughout the school. “That’s the sound of joy,” he said with a smile. “This event is more than just fun—it’s about building connections, sharing experiences, and bringing two communities together.”
