PBIS Store Officially Opens!

Excitement filled the halls of Wayne Elementary as students eagerly lined up for the grand opening of the PBIS Store on Friday, February 7, 2025. The store, a part of the school’s Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiative, allows students to redeem their hard-earned Wayne Bucks for fun and exciting rewards.

Students at Wayne Elementary earn Wayne Bucks each week by meeting specific goals that promote academic success and positive behavior. They can receive $1 Wayne Buck for each of the following achievements:

Perfect attendance for the week
Wearing the correct uniform all week
Completing their required iReady reading minutes with a passing rate of at least 75%
Completing at least three Zearn math lessons
Earning a Class Dojo incentive
Receiving a Gym/Music incentive

With the opportunity to earn up to $6 Wayne Bucks each week, students receive their earnings every Friday. The PBIS Store will open every other Friday, allowing students to use their savings to purchase a variety of prizes, including school supplies, toys, and other fun items.

“The PBIS Store is a great way to encourage our students to stay engaged in their learning and demonstrate positive behavior,” said a Wayne Elementary staff member. “It’s wonderful to see them excited about earning and saving their Wayne Bucks!”

Students have already started strategizing how to spend or save their Wayne Bucks, making the store not only a rewarding experience but also a lesson in responsibility and goal setting.

Wayne Elementary looks forward to seeing students continue to demonstrate positive behavior and academic excellence as they work toward their next PBIS Store shopping day!
