DPSCD Chief speaks to students about the importance of Black History Month

The Chief of Police came to visit and talk with our students about Black History Month. Some of the civil rights activists he talked about were Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Fannie Lou Hammer, and Malcolm X. Our students also learned about the continent of Africa. Students were able to pick their favorite animal from the slide show. The students had tons of questions and they were engaged in learning about the importance of Black History Month.
