Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP) and Quicken Loans QSTEM Program

DAPCEP in partnership with Quicken Loans through their QSTEM Program provided our middle school students with an opportunity to learn about (STEM) Science Technology Engineering and Math.

QSTEM is a fun, interactive, hands-on umbrella curriculum designed to teach DPSCD youth about technology. The goal of the program is to fuel the students’ imaginations and inspire them to pursue educational and career pathways in STEM.

 QSTEM Goals: 

  • Expose DPSCD youth to a positive work environment, culture, and adult role models 

  • Inspire DPSCD youth to pursue further education and experience in STEM career paths 

  • Increase the number of DPSCD youth who are equipped to pursue careers in STEM

  • Showcase Quicken Loans IT culture and how technology is gaining momentum in Detroit 

  • Encourage DPSCD youth to visit Downtown Detroit by increasing their familiarity with it the city
