On Thursday, May 21, 2020, several students from homeroom 118 and around the country participated in an engaging space talk with NASA astronaut-Dr. Jessica Meir, who appeared on the On-Line series Mystery Science with Doug. Dr. Meir discussed life in a space station and some of the many scientific experiments that she performs, while travelling in space. Growing vegetables and studying the effects of micro gravity on the human body were some of the experiments discussed. Pictures were also shared from her space travels.
Dr. Meir's advice to students is to "Stay Curious!" Dr. Meir's curiosity could soon make her the first female to walk on the Moon, as well as the first human to walk on Mars.
