Congratulations to MLK High School Football= State Champions! The Crusaders capped their outstanding season when they defeated DeWitt High School 25-21 in the Division 3 football state championship game at Ford Field. Also, a shout out to King quarterback Dante Moore, who was named the 2021 Mr. Football, the first junior to do so. #DPSCDPROUD for all involved @DetKingFootball!
Get the Vax! Pfizer Vaccines Available This Saturday, December 4: DPSCD, in conjunction with the Detroit Health Department (DHD), will hold COVID-19 vaccination clinics for the community, where first and second dose Pfizer vaccines will be available, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School, 3200 E. Lafayette Street, Detroit, MI 48207-3812
- Randolph Career and Technical Center, 17101 Hubbell Street, Detroit, MI 48235-3942
For children ages 5 to 17, a legal parent/guardian must be present! For more information, visit the District’s website or call the Detroit Health Department at (313) 230-0505 to make an appointment.
Expect Respect for December: In the month of giving, December’s character trait is generosity. Families, discuss ways you and your children will be generous with classmates, teachers, staff, friends and in your community. Extra kudos if you post and tag @detroitk12 with your example. Online Learning Days on Fridays in December Starts This Week! A reminder that starting this Friday, December 3, 2021, online learning days for the three Fridays in December begins districtwide.
