Check Out Five Things You Need to Know This Week!


DPSCD families, students, and staff we will host mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics at schools on Monday, Nov. 22, and Tues. Nov. 23 across the District. The clinics are open to any person who is and older to receive their 1st, 2nd or booster shot. Children ages 5-17 must be accompanied and have consent by a legal parent/guardian, provide a picture I.D., to receive the vaccine. Vaccination clinic locations and times can be found on the DPSCD website.

Fall Examination High School Application for Current High School Students Closes This Week:  If you are a current DPSCD high school student interested in applying to one of DPSCD’s six examination high schools, the Round 1 deadline to apply is Sunday, November 28 at 11:59 p.m. Read More.   

DPSCD School SpotlightCarstens Academy serves students in grades Pre-K to 8th and offers a rigorous Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum that promotes growth and achievement for each student in a loving, family atmosphere. Save the Date December 4-Pfizer Vaccine Available for Children 5 – 11:  A reminder that the DPSCD/DHD (Detroit Health Department) second dose Vaccine Clinic will be held at two locations on Saturday, December 4 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (parent/guardian must be present):   

  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School, 3200 E. Lafayette Street, Detroit, MI 48207-3812  
  •  Randolph Career and Technical Center, 17101 Hubbell Street, Detroit, MI 48235-3942
