Emerson Count Day Fun
On Count Day there was fun to be had all over Emerson. There were raffles, group projects, and fun had by all.

Big shout out to the middle schoolers from Mr. Tallidis' ASD Room 219, who completed our first group project today and presented their work to the class. The students learned how to make a map key, a compass rose, and a map scale and worked together to create these unique and colorful maps. This concludes a lesson in which the students sharpened their map reading skills, learned their cardinal directions, worked with grids, and practiced our ruler skills.
Not only that, but it was also an exercise in teamwork, time management, and presentation skills! There was some stage fright as you can see by the photos, but the group did a great job of sharing their work. An extra shout out to Amora, Jaden, Jayveon, and Chase for their roles as group manager. They stepped up to the challenge and were able to lead their team to deliver a completed project by the deadline!

Mr. Green says, Thank you Parents/Guardians of Room 121 Autism Classroom. We had 100% in attendance for count day. We appreciate the time and patience it takes to get them up and going each morning:
~Mr. Green, Ms. Kimble and Ms. Spaulding.😊💯
