Students at Emerson Elementary-Middle School Celebrate Constitution Day!

Mr Watkins leading the parade.

Students at Emerson Elementary-Middle School, under the direction of Social Studies teacher Donald Watkins, held their annual Constitution Day Celebration with a parade around the campus.

Constitution Day is a U.S. observance held each year on September 17th.  It marks the day in 1787 when delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the U.S. Constitution in Philadelphia.

The Constitution is the foundation of U.S. government—it outlines citizens’ rights and how the government works.

Our students proudly showed their citizenship during the parade. Click on the link below to see Emerson's Patriotic students!
