Parent Support and Training

The District recognizes the challenges our families have faced with online learning during the first few weeks of the new school year. In addition to the video presentation, DPSCD’s Parent Academy has expanded support for online learning until mid-October. We will now have sessions Monday-Thursday and on Saturday. Please use the following link www.detroitk12.org/parentacademy to see the complete schedule and sign up. 

The District also added an IT Support Hotline for students and families using a 1-833-466-3978 phone number. The IT Support Hotline will operate Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. You can also call the Parent Hotline at (313) 240-4377, Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m. with questions or concerns. Please note that the District’s Homework Hotline will continue from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday as well as the Mental Health Hotline (same hours). You can contact each by using the 1-833-466-3978 number.
