Spreading Holiday Cheer!

The Detroit Lions Organization has done it again! On Tuesday December 3, 2019 the Detroit Lions Organization provided students with clothing items from Ethika and took them on a shopping spree at Meijer. Students were bussed to the Meijer on Eight Mile and Woodward where they were greeted like celebrities upon arrival. They enjoyed pizza and cookies for lunch while meeting and mingling with members of the Detroit Lions Organization, NFL players, cheerleaders, and Roary of course. Even Santa made a special appearance. Students were grouped with a Detroit Lions NFL player or cheerleader and given a $250.00 spending limit. They were able to buy holiday gifts for themselves and their families. Students filled their baskets with clothes, toys, electronics, food and more. All throughout Meijer students were spotted with smiling faces, while pushing shopping carts overflowing with gifts. You could even catch NFL players throwing passes to students throughout the store. Those naughty Lions. Holidays tend to bring out the kid in everyone.

We are truly thankful for our partnerships with the Detroit Lions Organization and Meijer. Their generosity has blessed our students with gifts for the holidays. We would also like to thank Ethika for providing the designer clothing items that made our students smile.

Here you can find more pictures from the Detroit Lions Academy annual holiday shopping spree.
