Level Up to High School Expo is Saturday, March 18, 2023: Calling all middle school students, this weekend is the Level Up to High School Expo, Saturday, March 18, 2023, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Renaissance High School, 6565 W. Outer Drive in Detroit. The morning will begin with an information-packed Town Hall discussion to lay the groundwork for what incoming high schoolers will need to stay on the path to success in high school. King Student Athlete Rises with Full Ride Scholarship to Ivy League School:  Read how Samuel Washington Jr., has made the most of his athletic gifts and academic pursuits to earn a full-ride scholarship to Dartmouth College, an Ivy League Institution, to play football and study accounting. Upcoming Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Activities: ESE educators and staff, remind your families of this week’s ESE Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting, set for Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Participants can click here to join the Teams meeting. Also, led by the ESE Office of Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), ESE GATE book study, Part II- “Bright, Talented and Black, A Guide for Families of Black Gifted Learners,” will take place on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m., led by Dr. Joy Lawson Davis.
