15th Annual Belle of the Ball Prom Dress Giveaway- Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan

Absolutely amazing day at the 15th Annual Belle of the Ball Prom Dress Giveaway hosted by Wayne County Commissioner Alisha Bell! "Girl Child" joined my fellow Detroit Fashion Community Board Members Kevin Maples and Que Jewelz as we assisted some awesome young people in finding Special Occasion and Prom dresses. It was truly fulfilling to connect with the youth and their families. Our presence as professional stylists was greatly appreciated, and we were delighted to assist with styling.

The sight of women from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. serving our community together was truly inspiring. The partnership between Detroit Fashion Community (DFC) and DPSCD (Detroit Public Schools Community District) to serve the youth of our great city was heartwarming. Special thanks to DFC Director of Events Kevin Maples for utilizing his charter bus to transport the young ladies of Denby and Mumford to the event.

We also collaborated with Seslie Taylor of Colour Me Badd, Shakira Kali, Angelica Artistry, The Luxe Experience, Rich Strands, Be Glam, and Harper Ray Accessories to provide hair, makeup, nails, and prom tickets.
