Look at Our New Garden!

New sprouts poking out of the soil in our new planters

Coleman A Young Elementary School has a new garden! Our Phys. Ed. teacher, John LaCroix, wrote a grant that was funded. It paid for a beautiful new garden to be set right outside one of the gym door exits. It boasts circular planters, easy irrigation for watering, new patio pavers, bench seating, as well as a tree and other foliage. It is very beautiful and peaceful. Our teachers are using this wonderful asset to hold outdoor classes, and we also have school BBQs and other events there. We grow many vegetables like lettuce, beans, and peppers in our garden, as well as a large assortment of wildflowers including massive sunflowers! Drop by and experience The LaCroix Garden today!
