🧡CAY Stands Together for Unity Day!🧡

On Wednesday, October 22nd, our Coleman A. Young Elementary family came together in a powerful show of unity, kindness, and respect during our first-ever Unity Day Parade!

Students and staff proudly wore orange to stand against bullying and promote peace. Every class joined together to link our orange peace strips, creating one long chain that symbolized how connected and strong we are when we stand as one.

A special thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for their participation and teamwork, and to our wonderful students for spreading positivity throughout the day.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the 300 Community Youth Organization for their incredible support. They showed up with security cars, bullhorns, and plenty of encouragement during our parade! 📣 A huge shout-out to our amazing principal and assistant principal, who cheered us on with honking horns and big smiles as we marched proudly around the school. As well as Dean Jackson who organized the festivities and led the event. 🎉 And of course, special thanks to Mrs. Wilkerson, one of our wonderful parents, for helping us create our awesome posters!

It was an unforgettable day at CAY—spreading positivity and school spirit! Remember to "Be a Buddy, Not a Bully!" 🧡🧡🧡
