Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween to all those who celebrate! On Friday, October 31st, our halls were filled with a horde of zombies, a scurry of Alvin & the Chipmunks, a flutter of fairies, and a bunch of minions. Students & staff came dressed up in a range of creative & colorful costumes to participate in the holiday.
During seventh hour, teachers chose a fun & festive activity to complete with their students. In Mrs.Sutphen’s class, students have been learning about the mysterious ancient Egyptians. Seventh graders learned about the Egyptian writing system of hieroglyphics and then got to create a bookmark writing their name in hieroglyphics on real Egyptian papyrus paper. Meanwhile, other classrooms around the building played games or watched holiday-themed videos. At the end of the day, students also got a bag filled with tasty treats! Thank you to all the families that donated so all of our students could enjoy!
Ms.Maya organized a costume contest for students & staff who chose to participate! Students voted for staff members. Staff voted for the students! Below are the winners of the student & staff contest!
