Examination High School Student Town Hall Tuesday, June 15, 2021 10 a.m.-11 a.m. and Juneteenth In-Person Tours Saturday, June 19, 2021 12 p.m.-3 p.m. On Tues. June 15, 8th graders from DPSCD and nearby schools will be invited to participate in a virtual exam high school student town hall featuring current EHS students. On Sat. June 19 (Juneteenth), Families are invited to tour CMA, The School at Marygrove, Southeastern High School and MLK, Jr. Senior High School. DPSCD’s Online “An Evening of Fine Arts” virtual event June 17 at 11 a.m. You are invited to witness the talents and accomplishments of some of DPSCD’s most outstanding visual and performing students’ artists during the 52nd edition of this revered District event. The premiere will be streamed on Detroit Public Television (DPTV) website and its Detroit Performs Facebook page. Save the Date for DPSCD’s Summer on the Block—Coming to A Block Near You! Presented by the District’s Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE), please join us at John R. King Academic and Performing Arts Academy as the District kicks off Summer on the Block on Thurs. July 8, 2021 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. You can learn about DPSCD’s programming during this family friendly event that will include COVID-19 safety protocols such as social distancing. Get Ready for Fall 2021 with Wayne Health & DPSCD Immunization Clinic Days June 21, 22 and 23 DPSCD is partnering with Wayne Health to provide all immunizations (excluding COVID-19 vaccinations) in preparation for the Return to School in the fall. Reminder that all DPSCD kindergarten, 7th grade and new students to the District must be up to date on immunizations prior to attending school. - Teens for Vaccines School Based Health Clinics Wednesday, June 23 and Thursday, June 24: In partnership with Ascension Health, second dose COVID-19 vaccinations will be available from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School on Wednesday. June 23 and again on Thursday, June 24, at East English Village Preparatory Academy (EEVP) also from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For the King event, please call (313) 567-0534 for more information.
