Drew students have an opportunity to learn the importance/benefits of exercising at least 30 minutes, 3 times a week. Today there is a huge push for exercising and being fit. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons and barriers students with disabilities do not have the same opportunities to participate in an exercise programs at their local recreation or fitness centers. However, that is not the case at Drew. Our mission is to create a wellness/fitness program that will empower, encourage and support individuals with disabilities to become more physically active. As a result, they will live healthier lives mentally, physically and emotionally.
