DPSCD Student Spotlight of the Week: Congratulations to freshman Genevieve Burks, and junior Amari Howard, both from Martin Luther King Jr. Senior High School, who recently competed against 60 top players at the Michigan’s Women State Chess Championship and Men’s Chess Side Event. Burks won all 4 games to become the State Champion and Howard went undefeated to win the Men's Side Event. Let’s congratulate these young champions on their accomplishments.
Montessori Education in the Pre-K/ Kindergarten Learning Environment Parent Academy Workshop: Are you interested in learning more about Montessori education? If so, join this week’s Parent Academy workshop Montessori Education in the Pre-K/ Kindergarten Learning Environment Wednesday, October 30 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. to learn more about the principles and best practices of the Montessori education. Proposal S on the November Ballot:
DPSCD is engaged in an educational campaign for Proposal S that will appear on the November ballot. Dr. Vitti has scheduled information sessions to provide important facts outlining the benefits and importance of this millage. Please encourage your staff, families, and community partners to attend a Proposal S virtual session.
