Students Spotlight of the Week: 2024 graduating seniors Ali Abdullah and Shanya Matsey of Cass Technical High School and Ashayla Middlebrook of Communication and Media Arts High School were amongst the 16 students who received $30,000 in scholarships. Save the Date for Parent Academy Workshop- Roads Exceptionally Traveled – Diploma vs. Certificate of Completion (COC): The Office of Exceptional Student Education is hosting a course next week, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Parents will be provided with an overview of the differences between tracks that lead to a high school diploma vs. tracks that lead to a Certificate of Completion (COC). Parents of students with special needs will leave with knowledge of the LRE Continuum and their scholar's path to success. Explore the full list of Parent Academy Workshops available next week.
Enroll for a Pre-K seat today: We are now enrolling Pre-K students! Families with students who are 4 years old by December 1, 2024, follow the three easy steps. Learn how to enroll in a DPSCD school near you or visit your school of choice during school hours. The first day of Pre-K is September 3rd! Enroll today, seats are limited.
Homeless and Foster Care Resources: Are you or another student you know experiencing homelessness? If so the Office of Homeless and Foster Care (OHFC) is here to assist you. Resources are available for eligible DPSCD students, please email the OHFC or call 313-748-6383. Complete the referral form and a member of our team will contact you.
