2. Parent Consent Form and upload to Parent Consent Survey

Dual Enrollment Guidelines and Eligibility 

All Dual Enrollment applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to participate in Dual Enrollment: 

  • Students must be enrolled in at least one high school class in Detroit Public Schools Community District.
  • Students must have at least one parent or legal guardian that is a resident of Michigan (unless the student is experiencing homelessness). 
  • Students must not have been enrolled in high school for more than four school years.
  • Students can qualify for dualenrollment by taking one of the following assessments: PSAT, SAT, or MME.

*ENG 119  and MAT 155 require the Accuplacer exam to determine if students meet the competencies for the course.  Must take ENG 119 as a prerequisite for ENG 120.

             

**MUST READ: DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSE DROP PROCESS & POTENTIAL COST

Effective, Fall 2020, any student that enrolls in a Dual Enrollment course and does not pass or drops the course past the drop deadline (October 9th), could be responsible for the full cost of the course and all added fees.  Parents and/or guardians will need to sign an agreement about the cost of Dual Enrollment, $125 per credit hour.
