Harvest Day Celebration
Burns Elementary-Middle School Spirit Week
It was the most exciting week of the fall Spirit Week at Burns Elementary-Middle School! The hallways buzzed with energy as students and teachers showed their school pride in creative and colorful ways.
The week kicked off with the comfort of Flannel Day, where students and staff showed off their best plaid shirts and warm fall outfits. The cozy colors of autumn filled every corner of the building. Then Orange vs. Black Breast and Cancer Awareness Day. The entire school was a swirl of color, half the students in bright orange, the other half in bold black all coming together to raise awareness and show support. It was a sea of spirit and compassion.
Next came Pajama Day, everyone’s favorite! Students shuffled into school in cozy slippers and fluffy robes, clutching stuffed animals and mugs of hot cocoa. Even the teachers joined in, making the day feel like one big slumber party of learning and laughter.
By the end of the week, Halloween had arrived, and the hallways were howling with excitement. Werewolves roamed next to superheroes, witches practiced their cackles, and the Jokers’ laughter echoed through the classrooms. Everywhere you looked, there were costumes creative, spooky, and silly alike.
Spirit Week ended with the grand celebration Harvest Day! The day was packed with fun: the Halloween Parade Dance, where everyone showed off their costumes one last time, and the highly anticipated Trunk or Treat in the parking lot. Tables were decorated like haunted houses, pirate ships, and candy castles, and students went from trunk to trunk, filling their bags with treats and laughter.
As the day came to an end, the students of Burns Elementary-Middle School left with smiles as bright as the autumn moon already dreaming of next year’s Spirit Week.
