Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

National Reading Month is a big event here at Bunche, and you don’t have to be readers to celebrate! Some of our youngest students got into the swing of National Reading Month by celebrating one of their favorite authors, Dr. Seuss. Everyday brought a new adventure with emphasizing one of the classics. Monday found us wearing our pajamas as we read “The Cat in the Hat” and enjoyed strawberry and banana Cat in the Hat kabobs. Tuesday we wore green and enjoyed making and eating green eggs and ham – so many found that they did indeed like green eggs and ham, Sam I am. Wednesday got wacky with mismatched clothes and wacky coloring under the tables! Thursday was spent with Fox in Socks and we wore mismatched socks and made adorable foxes. Over the rest of the month we will be spending time with some of our other favorite authors: Eric Carle, Norman Bridwell and Mo Willems. Reading Month can be fantastic fun, even for our very youngest readers
