We are pleased to announce that three fifth grade students are finalist in the Games for Change student game creation competition. The three girls started working on their game in February and submitted it for consideration in April. The three girls, Naomi Alanya, and Amarii' created the game using an app called Scratch. The team was one of several that created games as part of a game design class through Mrs. May's STEM class at BSA. Their game is based on the classic game, Rock, Paper, Scissors. They are competing with teams from the Detroit area. We at BSA are very proud of these three young people! The winners will be announced at a virtual celebration with the Games for Change representatives on June 17, 2020.
