Expect Respect Campaign

The “Expect Respect” initiative is being launched as a call to action for our District regarding positive relationships. Through this initiative, 10 character traits have been selected to discuss each month across the District with the expectation of improved relationships among students. Guidance counselors and school social workers will take the lead on teaching grade appropriate lessons for the “Trait of the Month” utilizing the Overcoming Obstacles and Pacers National Bullying Prevention Center curricula. Students, parents and staff are encouraged to take the pledge and commit to the activities. District launch will occur at each school on Thursday, September 26, 2019. Each school will discuss the initiative with their students and school community. Students, parents, and staff will be asked to pledge to give respect and expect respect. They will also agree toreport instances of students being treated unkindly.
