Welcome Back Letter from Dr Lively
Dear Students/Parents/Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you and your family safe and healthy!
We will return to in-person learning this upcoming school year. We are excited to see students come back to the building and be part of the transition to the top-notch education that our school provides. Please know that we are encouraging each student to return to in-person learning even though students have the option to stay virtual through the DPSCD virtual high school. I sent out a letter in June outlining the virtual school eligibility requirements.
As students return, we will conduct student orientation, called “Blue Jay Days” for returning 10th – 12th graders and incoming freshman. Orientation will include a school walk through, meet and greet with teachers/support staff/administrators, take part in fun activities, and receive BCHS swag and school uniform polos. Student class schedules and books will be handed out the first day of school. The dates and times for orientation are outlined below:
Monday, August 23rd – Incoming Freshman and Sophomores (Time: 5:30-7pm)
Tuesday, August 24th – Juniors and Seniors (Time: 5:30-7pm)
Again, we are looking forward to your return and can’t wait to see everyone in person. Please know that we have a safe school environment and will follow all protocols and procedures for next school year to keep everyone healthy and engaged!
Enjoy the rest of your summer break!
Sincerely,
Dr. Sean Lively
