DPSCD Student Spotlight of the Week: Congratulations to Avery Hurd, Mi-kah West, and Naomi Babatunde on their appointment as Student Representatives to the DPSCD Board of Education! Avery, a senior at Davis Aerospace, Mi-kah, a senior at Cass Tech, and Naomi, a sophomore at the Detroit School of Arts, have been elected by their peers from the District’s Youth Executive Council (DEYC) to these distinguished positions. As Student Representatives, they will provide invaluable insights from a student’s perspective at the District level. Their role as ex-official members of the governing Board will empower them to advocate for their fellow student's voices, with the support and guidance of staff and the elected Board. We are incredibly proud of Avery, Mi-kah and Naomi and look forward to seeing the positive impact they'll make during their tenure. We are #DPSCDProud of you!
